About Kylie & Tim Gentle

...how it all began.

My husband & I moved from London to the country in 2004, we moved to join his father on the dairy farm. Tim (my husband) & I were renting a small house with a bit of land not far from the farm.

Tim had chickens as a young boy, & we thought - why not... so as a start we managed to buy some old battery hens from a local farmer. Not longer after I decided that we should get some colour. Christmas morning came along - we were on milking duty 5.30am we rocked up to the farm & what did I hear... cock-a-doodle-do!!!!! The look on Tim's face was priceless... it was supposed to be a surprise but 'Richard' had other ideas.

I was given 3 Anconcas & 3 Welsummers - 16 is were I started... & the rest is just history. Well kinda.. check out my blog for my chicken adventures.
